1980s Comic Book Character Blue Silk Shirt Dress

This late-1970s/early-1980s Philippe Deville long sleeve dress was made in France of unlined blue silk with a black and burgundy print featuring Spiderman and other characters. The same distinctive print was used multiple times in the Stephen Burrows 1980 S/S show (including for a dress worn by Jerry Hall.) It has drop shoulders, an asymmetrical pointed collar and the original tie belt. It fastens with four fabric-covered buttons in the front and one on each cuff. We believe that the waistband was originally elastic but the wearability is unaffected while belted. It's otherwise in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
