Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture
1967 Numbered Brown Tweed Wool Collared Jacket
This 1967 Yves Saint Laurent jacket is a very rare piece of true haute couture from one of the most revered designers in fashion history. It was made in France of brown and cream tweed wool, and fully lined in brown silk. It does up with 4 gold metal buttons and has a pointed collar. It’s missing two out of the three buttons on each cuff, which has been factored into the price. There is also some minor chipping to the gold plating on a couple of the buttons and a repair done to the armpit's lining, but otherwise, it is in very good condition. It is numbered 016112.
The last photo is a version of the jacket in Elegance magazine.
