This is a show-stopping 1988 Yves Saint Laurent black evening gown from the Rive Gauche line. A red and black version without the ruffle was featured in the designer's ad campaign that year. The off-the-shoulder top is black silk velvet with a crepe lining. It has a dramatic high-low skirt made from taffeta with a ruffle all along the hem. The left side fastens with a hidden zipper and the dress comes with its original belt. It was made in France and is in excellent condition. We have had it professionally dry-cleaned and it is ready to wear.
