Yves Saint Laurent
1980s Face & Grape Print Cotton Swing Jacket
Sold Out
This 1980s Yves Saint Laurent "Variation" by Dick Brandsma jacket has a Matisse-inspired abstract grape print with face line drawings throughout. It’s an artifact from Saint Laurent's era of series inspired by famous artists. It was made in France from soft unlined black, black, purple, orange, and white cotton, and does up with one button at the neck. A large inverted pleat on the back creates a swing back. It features wide sleeves with fold up cuffs, easily-removable shoulder pads, and a pocket on each side.
There is some discoloration on the inside of the cuffs, but they can be rolled in a way that conceals it. There are also a few light marks on the front (please see the last three photos.) The price has been greatly altered to reflect these flaws, even though it remains very wearable. It is clean and ready to wear.
