We believe that this high-waisted floor-length Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche skirt dates to the 1980s, though YSL began making similar styles during the late 1970s. The expert craftsmanship gives it striking volume, with the bottom circumference measuring a dramatic 173". It was made in France of black silk taffeta with tiered ruffles and ruching around the waist. It does up the left side with a metal hook. A repair was done to the left seam but it is otherwise in excellent condition. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
