This Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche corset top is among his most iconic pieces. This design was first released in YSL's 1976-77 F/W "Ballets Russes" collection. We believe this one to be the 1977 S/S "Les Espagnoles et les Romantiques" collection, where it was released in multiple colors. It is very well documented: it was featured in that year's ad campaign, on the runway, and in an notable Helmut Newton photo.
This version was made in France of an unlined blue cotton. It has puff sleeves with elastic cuffs, a lace-up front with tassel ties, and braided trim. It's in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
