Yves Saint Laurent
1971 S/S "Le Smoking" Demi-Couture Black Wool Tuxedo Jacket
Sold Out
This 1971 S/S Yves Saint Laurent Boutique demi-couture double-breasted structured blazer is in his iconic "Le Smoking" style from the infamous 1940s-inspired "Liberation" collection. It was hand-finished, and originally sold at Holt Renfrew. It was made in France of black wool gabardine with a rayon lining, two front pockets and large pointed lapels made of black rayon satin. Each cuff has four decorative buttons.
There is a 0.5" nick in the wool near the left shoulder seam, a small nick on the back of the collar, and some press marks on the satin lapel. It has been priced accordingly. It still presents beautifully and is otherwise in very good condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
