We believe this Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche long sleeved midi dress to be from the iconic fashion house’s 1970 S/S collection. It was made in France of a black polished cotton, with a full cotton lining. Unfortunately, photos do not do it justice and it is much more impressive in person, due to its exquisite construction and tailoring. It has such a considerable weight (1.2 kg) that it could almost be worn as a coat. It does up the front with 11 buttons, and has two hidden pockets in the front seams. It is in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
