1980s Red & White Polka Dot Cotton Strapless Party Dress

This 1980s Victor Costa strapless drop waist party dress was made in the USA of a lined red 50% cotton/50% polyester blend with white polka dots. Holly Hunter wore a similar black and white Victor Costa dress in Broadcast News (1987). It has a crumb catcher bustier top with wires in the neckline that allow the wearer to play with the shape, a striped grosgrain ribbon bow under the bust, and a pleated full skirt with a built-in petticoat underneath. It zips up the back.
Overall, the dress is in very good condition and presents well but there are some signs of light general wear: the wires in the neckline are a bit warped, there is a discreet area of color transfer on the back of the grosgrain ribbon, and the neckline has a couple spots where the fabric is a slightly worn. We've adjusted the price accordingly. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
