1960s Floral Appliqué Organza Inset White Wide-Leg Pant Suit

This 1960s Valentino Couture pant suit was completely sewn by hand in their Rome atelier. It's made from a white medium weight woven cotton with a cream silk lining and cream silk organza insets that are embellished with floral appliqués and white beads. The top fastens at the back with a metal zipper and five hidden metal snaps. The trousers are wide-legged with a pleat down each leg. They fasten up the left side with a metal zipper.
It’s in good condition. There is some very discreet yellowing in the armpits, a few small breaks in the organza around the waist, and a couple of missing beads (please see the photos). It has been professionally dry-cleaned. Please note that it was tailored for a petite frame. Given the age and material, this set is delicate and needs to be worn with care. For example, it would be a beautiful bridal outfit, but we're not sure it could survive dancing at the reception intact!
