This Thierry Mugler sleeveless dress is from the 1989 S/S "Les Atlantes" collection, inspired by deep sea creatures through a futuristic lens. It was made in France of black cotton. Along with classic elements such as a pointed sweetheart neckline, tapered straps, and a low back, it has unconventional details that nod to the collection's theme: pleating at the hips that resemble gills and a flared vent at the back of the skirt reminiscent of a fin. It fastens in the back with a concealed zipper and four snaps. The original zipper has been replaced with a navy zipper, which is not visible during wear. It's in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
