1980s Lavender Silk Taffeta Opera Shawl

This shawl is unlabeled but was purchased in a collection of couture that was made for attending the opera, mainly by Montreal couturiers Serge and Réal. It likely dates to the 1980s. It is comprised of two layers of lavender silk taffeta, with each layer measuring 60" x 17", making it 34" when laying flat. It can be styled or worn in many different ways, and it's easy to manipulate the shape of the taffeta to enhance the drama. It's in excellent condition.
