Radley
1970s Ossie Clark Design Black Moss Crepe Tie-Neck Dress
Sold Out
This 1970s Radley dress is from the highly sought-after era when Ossie Clark was designing for the British fashion house. The label doesn't credit Ossie Clark, but his iconic designs were still being used. It was made in England of unlined black moss crepe (55% acetate/45% viscose) with a black viscose chiffon top and ruffle trim. It fastens in the front with fourteen fabric-covered buttons and a tie at the neck (comes with an extra button.)
Overall, it presents beautifully but has some flaws to note: some discreet snags on the skirt, a few small nicks in the chiffon on the back and one on the front, the left side of the collar is frayed, and there's some fraying to the tie near the neck. It remains a highly-wearable piece of vintage fashion history. It's clean and ready to wear.
