This incredible Missoni two-piece set from c. 1972 consists of a floral cotton jersey skirt and multi-colour knit top with the same floral jersey trim. The top is unlined, and the skirt has a jersey lining and elastic waist. The price has been greatly reduced to reflect its imperfections. Firstly, there are a few pin holes throughout the skirt, the majority of which are only noticeable under very close inspection. There is a hole on the skirt that is slightly larger and placed in a white flower part of the pattern, measuring 1 mm x 3 mm. Another on the shirt trim measures 1 mm x 2 mm. The skirt also has a few stains, which for the most part are camouflaged by the busy pattern. It appears the skirt may have been hemmed by an inch of two. We have included close-up photos of the most prominent flaws; please zoom in on the photos for a better understanding of the condition. It remains a very wearable, and rare example of Missoni’s earlier work. Made in Italy, it is clean and ready to wear.
