1982 S/S Apple Print Purple Suede Top & Shorts Set

This 1982 S/S Mario Valentino top and shorts set was featured in two different versions in the advance preview of the collection (see the last two photos). It was made in Italy of unlined genuine purple suede and originally purchased at The Twenty-Four Collection in Palm Beach, Florida.
The top is a pullover style, with ruching around the neckline, dolman sleeves with snapped cuffs and a green and red apple print throughout. The high-waisted shorts fastens in the front with a zipper fly and two snaps. They are pleated, with flaps in the front and a pocket on each side. The set is in very good condition, showing light signs of general wear. The shorts show slightly more wear than the top.
