Gucci
1960s Horsehead Clasp Navy Leather Handbag
Sold Out
This incredible 1960s Gucci handbag is a very rare and exciting piece. Elizabeth Taylor owned the same style in blonde crocodile, which sold at auction in 2014 for $4,062.50 (see the last photo). Made from genuine navy blue leather with gold-tone hardware, the front fastens with two clasps in the shape of horse heads. It has three interior pockets, one which does up with a metal zipper, and is stamped "Made in Italy by Gucci" on the inside. It measures 9.75" x 8" and expands to 2.25" wide, with a 25" strap.
There is some minor wear to the gold plating on the hardware, light scratches on the exterior and interior, and the Gucci pull tab is missing from the interior zipper. Overall, however, the bag is in very good condition, and completely wearable.
