Givenchy Haute Couture
1960s Black & Cream Wool Tweed Dress Suit
Sold Out
This late-1950s/early-1960s Givenchy Haute Couture suit was made in France entirely by hand in the Givenchy atelier. It consists of a dress and short sleeve jacket, and has a hand-written couture tag "11-863."
The jacket is labeled, with a silk lining and a 1.5" slit up each side. It snaps up the front. The dress is unlabeled, with the skirt made from an unlined tissue silk and the skirt lined in tissue silk. It zips up the left side with a metal Eclair zipper, and has four hook-and-eyes on the left shoulder. It also features a pocket on each side.
It's in overall very good condition for its age, with just a few nicks in the silk around the shoulders and a few very light yellow stains on the front of the skirt and on the jacket that are nearly invisible. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
