This 1970s blouse & vest set by Montreal couturier Frank Oujezdsky is completely hand-finished true couture. The set shows an Eastern European influence. The blouse is made from rose print cream silk jacquard, with a pintuck bodice, rounded collar with fine stitching detail and a tie at the neck, and large bishop sleeves with four rose buttons on each cuff. The bodice does up with fourteen rose buttons and four hidden buttons under the bust and very thin padding in the shoulders to add structure.
The vest is made from cream pintuck wool, trimmed in satin and wool ribbon and lined in silk matching the blouse.
Both pieces are in excellent condition.
