1920s Floral Lamé & Silk Velvet Reversible Coat

A stunning 1920’s silk velvet and lamé coat, reversible, with a ruched shawl that can be worn up as a hood. The metallic lamé side is made with a large sweeping autumn-toned floral pattern, the silk velvet appearing on the ample ruched sleeve cuffs and ruched hood. There is no enclosure except for a long decorative tie sewn in at the neck, which can be swept around the outside of the hood to keep it sitting nicely on the shoulders. The reversed side is entirely olive green silk velvet. The sleeves are also ruched a bit near the elbows, creating a very natural fit. This piece is an exquisite and rare example of distinct 1920’s high end style.
