1981-82 F/W Dark Red Mohair Knit Sweater Dress

We believe this Claude Montana for Gianni Ballanti sweater dress dates to the 1981-82 F/W collection, as very similar styles were featured on that season's runway. It was made in Italy of an unlined dark red 50% wool/35% mohair/15% nylon ribbed knit blend, with genuine leather patches at the back of the arms. It slips over the wearer's head and fastens with four genuine leather braided buttons at the left shoulder, creating an asymmetrical collar. There is some minor wear to the leather buttons but it's otherwise in very good condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
