Christian Dior
1981 Documented Velvet & Silk Taffeta Gold Threaded Blouse
Sold Out
This Christian Dior Boutique blouse was documented in the August 1981 issue of L’Officiel. The body is made from black satin and an olive green silk taffeta, with gold embroidery made from real metal thread on the bodice. The balloon sleeves are black velvet, with cuffs that do up with 5 velvet-covered buttons. Tulle on the inner shoulders create a puff sleeve (we recommend buyers with sensitive skin wear another layer underneath, as the tulle can feel itchy.) It slips over the head and does up with 7 snaps on the left side. Made in France and sold at Giorgio Beverly Hills, it is in excellent condition. There are some very light watermarks near the bottom of the silk taffeta, though this part is meant to be tucked into a skirt or pants and therefore should be imperceptible during wear.
