1978 Documented Taupe Wool Puff Shoulder Coat

This Chloé by Karl Lagerfeld coat dates to 1978. The cream version was photographed by François Lamy for the January 1978 issue of Vogue Italia. It was originally sold at Saks Fifth Avenue and still has its Saks Fifth Avenue paper tag attached with its reference number. Made in France from light taupe thin woven wool, it features puff shoulders, thin shoulder pads and a 26" slit up each side, allowing the wearer great movement. It fastens with six shell buttons up the front, and has two additional buttons on each cuff. The body is unlined and the arms are lined in silk. It's in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
