Ceil Chapman
1950s Magenta Silk Satin Flower Appliqué Gown
Sold Out
This 1950s Ceil Chapman gown was originally sold at Salon Vendome, a designer boutique inside the Simpson's department store. Made of magenta silk satin and fully lined with a built-in crinoline, it features a silk flower appliqué on the bust, boning on the sides of the bodice and a large inverted pleat down the front. The double spaghetti straps intertwine at the shoulders. It does up the back with a metal Lightning zipper, which is hidden by 6 snaps. The back is pleated, creating a full shape. There is fraying to the silk flower but otherwise, the dress is in excellent condition. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
