Per Spook
c.1977 Documented Cream Silk Chiffon Accordion Pleat Blouse
Sold Out
What a stunningly ethereal piece! Highly reminiscent of the gown that Jane Birkin modelled for the Norwegian designer's first collection (see the 2nd photo, of Birkin and Per Spook himself), this top is a cream silk chiffon, with extravagant volume, accordion pleats, silk satin trim, and large balloon sleeves. Note the three button detail on the left shoulder. Per Spook is relatively obscure today, but ran a successful fashion house in Paris from 1977, winning Aiguille d'Or (The Golden Needle) in 1978, and Dé d'Or (The Golden Thimble) in 1993.
Measurements:
Bust - 44"
Waist - 29" (unbuttons to 33", to fit over head)
