1978 Documented Brown Caftan Dress

This Yves Saint Laurent brown caftan from his Rive Gauche ready-to-wear-line was used the 1978 ad campaign, from L’Officiel n. 644. The fabric was made by Sartimaglie; there isn’t a content label attached, but it feels to be a soft woolen fabric, possibly an angora blend. It slips over the head and does up with 4 buttons on each shoulder. Made in France, it is in good condition, with only some slight discolouration in the armpits that is very  discreet during wear. It has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
