Bonnie Cashin
1960s Sills Tweed & Suede Swing Back Dress
Sold Out
This 1960s Sills dress was designed by Bonnie Cashin. It’s made from an unlined knit tweed wool in black, brown and cream, and trimmed in genuine brown suede. It slips over the wearer’s head and does up with 4 pearlized snaps on the front bodice. This dress would have originally come with a matching belt, but it has been lost in its journey to us. There are 1.5" slits on the sides along the seam allowing the wearer to wrap the belt around the outside, run it through so that it only shows at the front and is inside around the waist, creating a swing back silhouette. We have included a picture of it with our Salvatore Ferragamo leather belt for reference but it is not included. There are two breaks in the suede on the back of the neck, but otherwise it is in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
