This 1977-78 F/W Bill Blass evening gown is unlined red rayon jersey with a macrame fringe collar. A gown with the same top was featured on that season's runway. This one was originally purchased at The Needle Craft boutique in Atlantic City. It features a high ruffle neck, large bishop sleeves with elastic cuffs, and a pocket at each side. It pulls over the wearer's head, and fastens at the back of the neck. The waist is elasticized. The dress is missing its original belt and there's a small mark on the front of the skirt that gets lost in the fabric but it's otherwise in excellent condition, professionally dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
