1970s Antique Lace Trim Suede Bell Sleeve Skirt Set

This late-1970s Becky Bisoulis top and skirt set was made in the U.S.A. of unlined fine genuine suede with an antique floral cream cotton lace trim that likely dates to the turn of the century. Bisoulis was known for mixing antique lace with suede and other luxurious fabrics. This set was originally purchased at Elizabeth Arden.
The top has a scoop neckline, appliquéd lace down the front, and long lace bell sleeves with elastic cuffs. It fastens in the front with a metal zipper. The high-waisted flared midi skirt also has lace appliqué down the front, as well as a pocket at each side. It fastens at the back with a zipper and hook-and-eye. The lace sleeves have yellowed, but it's otherwise in very good condition, with the suede remaining soft and supple. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
