Treacy Lowe
Attributed 1970s Silk Chiffon Balloon Sleeve Dress
Sold Out
A 1970’s Indian tissue silk dress, unlabelled but almost definitely designed by Treacy Lowe, English designer renowned during that era for her chic bohemian designs and innovative use of Indian silk fabrics. The print is coloured with green, burgundy and orange-toned red patterns, featuring various diamond shapes and vertical lines, all intricately detailed. Midi length, with low armpits making voluminous long sleeves, ending with fitted cuffs at the wrists with two small metal snaps on each cuff for enclosure. The deep neck line can be tied up with two thin bows, one near the bust and one at the top of the neck. The matching sash belt at the waist keeps the shape of the torso nicely loose and breathable. This piece is fully lined with burgundy silk, except on the sleeves, also making it comfortably breathable. With a back zipper enclosure. An elegant piece of 1970’s bohemian chic style.
