1980s Green & Black Silk Devore Gown
This 1980s gown is missing its designer label but still has a label for Ira Berg, a high-end Toronto boutique. It's very high quality in any case. It was made in Germany of black and green silk. The top is floral devore with black metallic threads, and the skirt is black jacquard rayon with green satin stripes and black velvet piping. The dress features a high neck with a bow attached, puff sleeves, and a pleated skirt with a built-in crinoline and pocket on each side. It does up the back with a zipper on the skirt and nine buttons at the top.
We photographed the dress with the black velcro cummerbund that we received it with. However, we don't believe it to be original to the dress, so we'll provide the buyer with a 113" x 9" black silk taffeta sash belt that originally came with a similar 1980s Pauline Trigère gown. It is in excellent condition, has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
