1980s Avant-Garde Draped Back Double-Breasted Coat
This is a rare Issey Miyake unisex coat from the 1980s. Made in Japan, it's a dark brown/black color that appears iridescent in certain light. We're unsure of the fabric composition, but it's made to look like leather. It buttons up the front and has a draped collar piece that can be worn a few different ways. The back is also draped, allowing it to have great movement. There is a pocket on each side and it's fully lined.
The coat is in overall very good condition but does have a "lived-in" look which is natural to the fabric. The shoulder area seems to be slightly more worn, although this is not immediately visible.
Chest - 62"
Waist - 61”
Length - 41.5" (laying flat)
This coat is meant to be worn oversized, allowing it to fit a variety of sizes.
