Jeff Banks
1970's Quilted Dramatic Sleeve Jacket
Sold Out
I'm very excited about this piece, because not only is Jeff Banks one of my all-time favourite British Boutique designers, but this is one of his most rare designs! A little background information on Jeff Banks: he first opened his boutique Clobber in 1964, stocking other designers (such as Ossie Clark and Jean Muir). The Beatles and Jean Shrimpton attended the opening, and everything (except one jacket) sold out that night! His success prompted Jeff Banks to start a Clobber line, and in 1969, he launched his eponymous label. This particular piece dates from the early 1970's, featuring structured avant-garde voluminous sleeves and blue plaid lining.
