Christian Dior
1973 Documented Optyl D02 Oversized Gradient Cut-Out Sunglasses
Sold Out
These rare 1970s Christian Dior Optyl sunglasses are model D02. They were photographed by Gian Paolo Barbieri for the November 1973 issue of Vogue Italia. The frames are oversized gradient plastic, with cut-out sides. They are 165 mm (6.5") wide (please note that they are much wider than average frames), 70 mm (2.75") high, with a 125 mm (4 7/5") temple size. They were made in Austria. We would consider these glasses to be in fair condition. There are scratches on the lenses and the frames. They have been priced accordingly and remain a fantastic piece of fashion history.
