1970's Iris Art Nouveau Navy Cotton Balloon Sleeve Dress

A 100% cotton dress (unlined), navy blue with a warm iris flower print, reminiscent of art nouveau elements. The waist is cinched with elastic inside, leading to a tiered ruffle skirt that extends below the knee. The classic 1970’s balloon sleeves end in cuffs with one button on each enclosure. There are three buttons along the short v-neck at the front, and a back zipper enclosure. Droopy and Brown was a well reputed high end label that flourished as a part of the British Boutique movement of the early 1970’s, opening shops beyond the London area around England and as far as Edinburgh, Scotland.
