Averil was a high-end costume jewellery designer whose creations were sold in upscale department stores in the 1970’s. This large brooch, measuring 5” x 3”, is a beautiful example of her Modernist style. Gold-tone metal, it’s accentuated with clear, purple, and black rhinestones. It is a signed piece, deadstock and in excellent, never-worn condition.
