A timeless black wool Yves Saint Laurent cape, dating from the 1970’s, from the Rive Gauche ready-to-wear line. A hard to find piece, this is labelled as deadstock, with a sample tag attached. The pointed collar encloses snugly around the neck, with medium sized two-textured black button enclosure extending downwards to the waist. This piece is unlined; a simple sheath of black wool, with a slit on either side to put one’s hands through. Falling below the knee, this piece manages to be both striking and understated at once.
