Guy Laroche
1970s Daisy Print Silk Faux Wrap Puff Sleeve Dress
A brightly printed pure silk faux wrap style dress by Guy Laroche, dating from the 1970’s. Adorably uneven white daisies with blood orange centres are set against a finely pigmented blue background. Does up with two shell buttons at the waist, with the faux wrap style accented by the ample matching sash belt, which can be worn with a bow at the front or the back. Slightly ruched shoulders create softly puffed sleeves. Unlined, this piece is one layer of very soft pure silk.
The third picture is of a very similar daisy print Guy Laroche dress from 1974
Label: Guy Laroche Diffusion
Measurements:
Bust - 38"
Waist - 28" (belt to cinch)
Shoulders - 14.5"
Armhole circumference - 10"
Waist to hem - 28"
Total length - 46"
Material: 100% silk
Condition: Excellent condition. The colours are so vibrant that this dress appears to be brand new. Under close inspection you can see some VERY faint yellowing near the seams in the armpits and one very light mark on the front. Due to how the fabric folds on the front, the mark is almost completely hidden. They are so minor that I don't believe that they would be a deciding factor, more just mentioned for accuracy.
