A gold tone 1970’s metallic evening dress from important English designer, Hardy Amies; the designer’s full name is Sir Edwin Hardy Amies, having been knighted by the queen for serving as an official dressmaker for her ever since her accession to the throne in 1952.
This piece is made with ruched seams around the bust and all along the top and bottom of the half-length sleeves, including on the shoulders. All is contained by the wide empire waist, leading to a fully lined skirt falling below the knee. The gold metallic lurex has a subtle polka dot texture. Back zipper enclosure.
