An early 1970’s rayon velvet maxi dress from prolific New York fashion legend Mollie Parnis, who by the 1970’s had already been often featured in Vogue, and had designed for some First Ladies of the Whitehouse. This piece features a silk sash belt accenting the waist, and a distinctive pleated chiffon spiral trim on the v shaped neckline. The chiffon trim is kept in perfect shape by thin, unnoticeable wire sewn in at the edge. A well-built classic.

Waist - 27" (The belt cinches the waist to 24". It could be removed or altered for a larger fit)
