1960s Ultra Mod Black & Red Wool Jersey Coat
Sold Out
This 1960s black mod coat is a very high quality piece whose origins are difficult to assess. It came with a label reading “Vali Paris” hanging on by a thread, and visible underneath was the outline of a previously-removed smaller label. It could very possibly be the work of Pierre Cardin, as it is highly reminiscent of Cardin’s designs from that era, particularly with its round buttons and curved lines. We have detached the “Vali” label, but will include it with the coat for the buyer. The jacket is a pure wool jersey, fully lined, with red trim, two front pockets and a large slit at the back. It does up the front with 4 round buttons. It is in excellent condition, appearing to have had little to no wear, clean, and ready to wear.
