This 1960s mod burgundy hat is by obscure French designer Jacques Philippe. There isn’t much information available on him, but one of his hats is held in the V&A’s permanent collection and it is clearly a high quality piece. Made in France from pure rabbit felt, it’s beret-style, but with more of a structured bubble shape. It is in excellent condition.
