Geoffrey Beene
1960s Canary Yellow Jersey Halter Maxi Dress
This canary yellow halter dress is a high quality piece by one of the most important American designers of the time, Geoffrey Beene. Expertly constructed in the US circa 1969 from thick jersey, it is fully lined and includes its original matching belt. It has a rounded collar and plunging neckline, doing up in the front with a zipper and three hook-and-eyes. It was discovered at a prestigious estate, and is in excellent condition; the only wear is to the leather on the inside of the belt, and completely invisible during wear. The flattering cut makes it a perfect summertime outfit. It is professionally dry cleaned and ready to wear.
