Pedro Rodriguez
1960s Black Wool Jersey Beaded Cocktail Dress
Sold Out
This very rare early 1960s cocktail dress is by Pedro Rodriguez, a highly-regarded Spanish couturier who was a contemporary of Balenciaga. It’s made from a black wool jersey, and the bottom is lined. It features strands of jet beads on each side of the waist. It does up the left side with a metal zipper, and 4 buttons on the left shoulder.
The price has been greatly reduced because we believe that the piece has been altered. It appears to have been taken out at one point, and that there may have been further alterations on the back. There is also one set of beads missing on the right side and very tiny nick in the wool on the same side, though both of these flaws could easily go unnoticed. Please zoom in on the last photo to see the inside of the back of the dress. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
