Lily Simon
1960s Black Polka-Dot Romper & Ostrich Feather Skirt
Sold Out
This 1960s black-and-white polka dot romper comes with a detachable feather-trimmed skirt. It’s from Lily Simon, a boutique in Montreal that imported internationally renowned designers; unfortunately, the actual designer label is missing. It consists of a collared jumpsuit with voluminous sleeves that do up with two snaps at the cuff, and a detachable skirt trimmed in genuine black and white ostrich feathers, which does up with a snap and two hook-and-eyes at the waist. Union made in the USA, it is fully lined and does up the front with a zipper and two snaps. The material is a synthetic muslin-like fine fabric, and is sheer in the arms. Overall, it’s in very good condition; the fabric does have a few pulls, mostly on the left arm, and the fabric on the belt is detaching from the back and has a bleach spot. All imperfections have been photographed and factored into the price.
