1960s Beaded Orange Silk Chiffon Gown
This red carpet-worthy 1960s orange gown was discovered at a local estate where the woman’s wardrobe was made by a very skilled personal dressmaker. It is unlabelled but high quality, with two layers of silk chiffon and a netted top with intricate iridescent silver and orange beading in a floral pattern. The body is fully lined, and the top layer of silk chiffon is split in the front, creating movement when the wearer walks. It does up the back with a zipper. It is in very good condition; there is a small pull in the silk chiffon on the bust (see last photo) and a few very light marks throughout. These imperfections could easily go unnoticed during wear, but have been factored into the price. Miraculously, the beading is in excellent condition! The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
