1950s Braided Ruffle Black Organza Cocktail Dress

This gorgeous 1950s cocktail dress is unlabeled, but hand-sewn to a high standard of craftsmanship. It's made from a black synthetic organza (likely nylon), and has a matching organza lining. There are dramatic ruffles around the built-in cups, and at the bottom of the skirt. Braided straps and detailing add a touch of whimsy to the classic 1950s silhouette. It does up the back with a metal Eclair zipper. This dress is in excellent condition, with only some inconspicuous stitches visible near the back zipper (see the last photo). It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
