1910s Edwardian White Irish Crochet Lace Tea Gown
Sold Out
This early-1910s Edwardian tea gown was made from an unlined mixture of white cotton eyelet and intricate Irish crochet lace. It has 3D flowers, short sleeves and a high neck that's boned with zig-zag wires. It has 21 0.5 cm fabric-covered buttons in the back, but hook-and-eyes were added by a previous owner to make it easier to fasten. It would make a beautiful and ethereal wedding dress for a bride.
It's in excellent condition for a piece of this age. The waist stay has been cut (we pinned the waist in the first photo), and we would recommend having it replaced. The crochet at the back of the waist has been resewn where the two panels meet. Please see the last two photos. It's clean and ready to wear.
