Yves Saint Laurent

1986 Ad Campaign White Cotton Jacket

Sold Out

A 1986 durable white cotton denim jacket from Yves Saint Laurent, with nods to safari influences. Designed with a fitted waist punctuated by a fitted band of fabric around the back with four large cream coloured plastic buttons, two at the front and two at the back. The fabric above the waist is ruched to give an ample effect to the large breast pockets and wide lapels. With loose sleeves ending with fitted cuffs. The breast pockets are enclosed with pointed flaps and buttons as well, with one button enclosing the jacket at the waist. The bottom also flares out slightly to emphasize the hips. This piece is fully lined.

The second picture was scanned from L'Officiel, February 1976. Photographed by Gianpaolo Barbieri.

Measurements:

Bust - 39"
Waist - 28.5"
Shoulders - 17.5"
Arms - 20.5"
Length - 20.5"

Size stated: 38

Please go by the measurements. This would likely best suit an XS-S. You will need to leave a couple extra inches.

Material: 100% cotton

Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is a tiny blue mark on the front that is completely hidden by the collar. The two back buttons are very cracked. I have decided to leave the buttons to keep the jacket as original as possible. Please contact me if you would like me to replace the buttons.

Please feel free to contact me for more pictures.
