1980s Sequin Black Cocoon Backless Tunic Mini Dress

A striking 1980’s cocoon style dress from luxury Israeli designer Gottex, known above all for their playful beachwear. Found at the prestigious estate of a consul; evening wear is a rare find from Gottex! Can be worn as a tunic on a large size, with the bottom band hugging the hips, or as a mini dress on a smaller size. The slinky black fabric is accented with black sequin trim around the bottom, and in a plunging v design down from the neck to the underbust. With a deep and revealing plunging back, the only enclosure of the dress a strap across the back of the neck that does up with velcro. The sleeves are loose, not sewn separately from the body, and get tighter at the ends, which maintains a clear shape for the design.
