1979-80 F/W Black Floral Jacquard Faille Tunic Dress

This 1979-80 F/W Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche tunic dress was made in France of black floral print jacquard faille. The fabric content isn't listed but it feels to be a silk/rayon blend. It was featured on that season's runway and the purple version was used in promotional material. It features a stand-up collar, ribbon trim, a rayon satin lining, and a 11.5" slit up each side. The dress slips over the wearer's head and fastens at the front with 9 buttons. It's in excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
